Article 138 of the Russian Civil Code defines intellectual property as an exclusive right of an individual or a legal entity to the products of intellectual activity and equivalent means of identifying a legal entity, products, works or services (trade name, trademark, service mark, etc.). 2. Property rights. Property rights are understood as the rights to use land parcels, natural resources, water bodies as evidenced by a lease contract, a license, etc.
3. Deferred expenses. In this context deferred expenses mean costs in the form of organizational expenses (fees paid to attorneys for preparing constitutive documents, registration fees, etc.). These expenses are usually incurred at the start-up of a business.
4. Business reputation of a firm (goodwill). Goodwill of a firm is understood to be the value of its business reputation.
